We are proud to release the long awaited billet aluminum triple clamp for the 2001 – 2010 Honda GL1800 Goldwing.

We tested all kinds of iterations, and we found that the most bang for the buck comes from just replacing the cheesy lower clamp with a solid beefy part. The stock upper clamp isn't as weak and flimsy, so the improvement was hardly noticeable to change it.

This part is for people who want to have the most solid, responsive feel out of the steering on their bike. It's much like the improvement you get from a fork brace, but taking again a further step.

The billet clamp is CNC Machined from 6061-T6 Aircraft Billet Aluminum and comes assembled with a set of All Balls tapered roller bearings included at no extra charge.

If your bike is stock, you will need to change the old bearing races out to install the new clamp. If you have already installed the All Balls, then this will be a simple direct swap with nothing special required.

The particular flaw with the stock clamp is that it is basically a cheap pot-metal part, thinly constructed with no bracing (triangulation) on it's underside. It's basically a hollow shell. This let's the front end twist and flex.

I am dead certain Honda did this to allow the front of the bike to flex and distort as a means of "improving ride quality" over sharp bumps. We have proven that proper working suspension is the cure for the bumps. But the rubbery noodely steering is then awful.

A fork brace cures about 60% of that problem. The billet clamp makes the front end very very solid, and responsive. The lower clamp could be installed by itself, on a bike with no fork brace, and it will firm the bike up to about 75% of it's potential.
