3-WAY Sportsbike Shock Absorbers with Hydraulic Preload
Our 3-Way shock absorbers provide maximum performance and adjustability to meet the demanding needs of today’s racers and track day riders. Elka Suspension hand-builds shocks, ensuring that each unit is valved and sprung specifically for bike model, rider weight, linkage ratio and type of track.
The 3-Way units feature high- and low-speed compression adjustability to provide squat and traction control during cornering and acceleration, keeping the contact patch of the tire on the track while allowing smooth absorption of bumps and obstacles. In short, it keeps you glued to the track. These are not an “off-the-shelf shock” – they are custom-built and sprung specifically for you to get the maximum performance for your specific personal use. No need to change the spring or have it revalved. Install it and ride. After all, that’s what it’s all about.
REMOTE HYDRAULIC PRELOAD ADJUSTMENT
On some motorcycles, the preload adjustment ring of the rear shock absorber is somewhat hard to reach or require strong body english to properly adjust. Our hydraulic preload adjuster can make this task much easier by providing an easy way to adjust the preload without any tools or efforts with up to 10mm of range. This option allows the rider to easily modify the preload setting without any tools. It’s also a required option for some bike models with hard-to-reach shock absorbers.
This feature is only available for select motorcycle models due to clearance issues on the others and is only available with when purchasing a new Elka Suspension shock absorber as it needs to be installed during the fabrication of the shock.
Piston Kit
Elka's fork piston kits feature precision machined pistons with tailored linearity that improves the damping range and effectiveness of the adjustments. These kits help you match the damping of the forks to your shock's damping, providing a better front/rear balance.
Our rebuildable and tunable piston kits are available in 20mm diameter that fits most recent sportsbikes. Our Moto Service Department can do the installation and tuning for you or you can choose to have them installed by our trackside partners. Call us to know your nearest trackside partner.
